The Labor Management Initiative’s Youth Mentoring Program (YMP) is administered by the Child Care Corporation. The Program offers a vocational experience to youth by placing them in the institutions where their parents work and exposing them to various career paths.
The six-week summer mentorship experience introduces high school teens to careers in the health profession. By working closely with supervisors, coordinators, and other interns in hospitals and nursing homes, youth are able to develop support networks and acquire insight that enables them to prepare for the future.
