The 1199SEIU/Employer Child Care Corporation seeks grants and other contributions to ensure critical educational opportunities for children and youth. Your assistance will enable the Corporation to continue its mission of providing a stellar educational and nurturing environment to the children of our members and to the surrounding community. Funding is critical to the Corporation’s longevity, to its ability to maintain its current student enrollment and program offerings, and to meet the needs of struggling families. By making available high quality educational programs such as the Future of America Learning Center, which provides care for infants, toddlers and young children, and WorkForce 2000, which prepares high school students for college admission and career development, the Corporation is able to enrich the growth and development of children exponentially.

The Corporation hosts an annual fund raiser to help support its ongoing advocacy, education and professional development programs for the children and families it serves. The gala also takes the opportunity to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to education, corporate responsibility and New York City’s children and youth. Past honorees include Geoffrey Canada, president and chief executive officer of Harlem Children’s Zone, Danny Glover, actor and UNICEF Ambassador, Linda Dunham, Global Chair of Ronald MacDonald House Charities, and Dr. Philip Ozuah, Physician-in-Chief of the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center. The critical funds that are raised as a result of this event help sustain the Child Care Corporation’s commitment to providing an affordable educational environment grounded in excellence, which allows children and youth to thrive during all stages of their development.
